Since the company was founded in 1995, IGH Infotec AG has developed from a provider of specialised solutions for the logistics industry to a market leader in the areas of "Mobile Data Collection with SAP" and "MES (Manufacturing Execution System) directly in SAP".

In 2005, we became an SAP partner with the corresponding certifications. At this time, we also developed our first "MES applications". The first systems were still very much orientated towards the workflow architecture of mobile data collection.

Plant II – Contract Manufacturing as a Live Demo.
With the opening of our Plant II in Langenfeld (near Cologne), we have pursued a clear vision: to realise sophisticated contract manufacturing in close proximity to our headquarters - not just for production, but as a practical demonstration environment. In the midst of real production, logistics and quality assurance processes, we show live how our software solutions work in everyday life - precise, integrated and measurable. Our Plant II is therefore not only a production site, but also a stage for training courses, workshops and technological insights directly into the process. The machines used include an Emco HT 665 for rotary machining and a Heller PT16 for cubic machining.

Strategic Partnership with HELLER
Since 1 March 2022, the machine tool manufacturer HELLER from Nürtingen has held a stake in IGH Infotec AG. IGH Infotec AG, based in Langenfeld (North Rhine-Westphalia), specialises in IT systems for optimising production and in-house logistics. The investment builds on many years of successful co-operation: HELLER has already been using our solutions in mechanical production and spindle assembly for five years - as a pilot user and development partner. With the HELLER Group becoming a shareholder, the cooperation will be raised to a new strategic level and expanded in a targeted manner - with the common goal of further advancing digitalisation in manufacturing.

Future-Proof Production with EuProGigant
The EuProGigant project shows how companies can work more efficiently and stably through highly networked production and the use of AI. Self-organising processes and automated adjustments to changes enable flexible production across multiple locations - for future-proof value creation.
European Production Gigant - EuProGigant
Production processes can only be optimised across multiple locations and suppliers with the help of effective data sharing. This is why the "European Production Giganet" project is being launched. The central basis is a GAIA-X architecture based on both new and established standards. The clearly structured GAIA-X rules ensure that the sensitive production data always remains in the possession of the data supplier! The unique identification of each individual data supplier/consumer and the development of efficient mechanisms to protect the collected data and to track data utilisation and processing are essential for this. In line with the GAIA-X concept, we consistently rely on open source and open standards wherever possible and sensible.
Our Project Goal
As part of the project, we will equip our MES system X-NetMES with powerful cloud connectors and focus on determining and analysing energy data. By intensively analysing the interdependencies within production, we will determine the "controllable" process parameters over the course of the project and make these findings available to the AI experts from our consortium. This expertise will also be incorporated into our X-NetMES Studio in order to provide our customers with optimisation recommendations for their own production processes.
People at the Center
Everyone involved in the project agrees that the user must take center stage and must never have the feeling that the system is leading an incomprehensible "life of its own". The production employees should be able to concentrate on their core functions - and the EuProGigant system "takes care" of the data preparation and the automatic compensation of faults in the production process. If the components/machines are not able to take over the process adjustments independently, the system actively informs the employees in production. For this purpose, we equip our MES terminals with operating dialogues optimised for this task. New supporting dashboards with recommended actions for process optimisation and problem solving are available in our MES Studio for production monitoring.
Smart Use of Energy
One of the greatest challenges of our time is the careful use of available resources. Large amounts of energy are "consumed" - and sometimes wasted - particularly in the production of goods. As part of the project, we will break down the measurement of the energy consumed in the MES down to the part produced. This forms the basis for intelligent energy management. By linking the energy data with all other data in the EuProGigant cloud, new and far-reaching analysis functions are available, which we incorporate into our X-NetMES Studio. As soon as our energy dashboard is ready for use, all production steps with energy waste are revealed and clearly visualised.
